Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel
The Vatican Museums, which include the Sistine Chapel, are a priority for many on pilgrimage to Rome. While it is not necessary to reserve tickets in advance, many pilgrims choose to purchase their entrance tickets at the Vatican Museum’s online ticket office. The reserved ticket must be printed out and allows pilgrims to proceed immediately to the security line at the time they have elected to enter.
Official guided tours of the Museums can be requested through the Vatican Museum online ticket office. Pre-recorded tours using electronic handsets are available for rental upon arrival. A list of private guides is also available from our office on request.
Pilgrims to Rome can also tour the Vatican Gardens. Guided walking tours can be purchased through the Vatican Museum’s online ticket office. The tour is about 2 hours in duration. The ticket enables pilgrims to enter the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel at the completion of the walking tour.
