Spring Programs

ICTE Participants have the unique opportunity to visit Curial Offices. Above: ICTE Priests with Archbishop Jorge Carlos Patron-Wong at the Congregation for Clergy.

The ICTE spring program begins each year in mid-January and ends on Monday of Holy Week. During the spring program, sabbatical priests are offered lectures in a variety of different fields.  The spring program is perfect for priests who wish a general “refresher” of theological study. Participants appreciate the fraternal and priestly community that develops over the course of three months.

Priests greatly appreciate the chance to visit and pray at the Lenten stational churches of Rome. A pilgrimage to each stational church, many of which are ordinarily closed, is coordinated each day during Lent by the North American College.  Many priests choose the spring program because of this unbelievable opportunity.

In addition to organized trips in and around Rome, a preached canonical retreat is organized at Assisi. Priests will be able to spend a leisurely week walking the streets of Assisi and praying in its churches.

Each spring program also offers the opportunity for an optional trip to the Holy Land.
