Andrew Mattingly, from the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, scored the winning goal with an unforgettable two on one bottom corner shot. In an interview he responded, “most of the work was done by the team getting the ball down the field, all I had to do was finish.”

The Martyrs’ goalie, Benjamin Cahill, from the Diocese of Pittsburg, has had a great showing this year. A rookie to the game of soccer last year, Benjamin has shown remarkable athletic ability in the ease and quickness with which he picked up the position of starting goalie in the Martyrs lineup.

CC Finals 8The world famous Martyrs fans were in full swing cheering their team on to victory. Despite the drums, horns, and other instruments of the Mater Ecclesiae fans, the patriotic and fantastical NAC fans could still be heard supporting their team.

Congratulations to all of the players on the 2013 PNAC Martyrs soccer team!
