Contributing presenters are for the most part professors at the various Roman Pontifical Universities (Gregorian, Angelicum, Alphonsianum, etc.) and see their work with the Institute as an extension of their teaching and as a “laboratory:” The give-and-take of priests actually engaged in the various pastoral ministries is something they look forward to as a way to keep themselves grounded in the Church that extends beyond the classroom. As well as Jesuit, Franciscan, Dominican, Carmelite, Atonement and diocesan priests, presenters include religious sisters and lay persons in various academic, pastoral, and spiritual areas of concentration. Presenters are from the USA, Ireland, Great Britain, Australia, Malta, Germany, Canada and other nations, assuring a breadth of view.

Location: Priests participating in the Institute reside at the Pontifical North American College, on Rome’s tallest hill, the Janiculum, overlooking the Eternal City as well as Saint Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican. Located in the same building which houses the seminary department, the participants enjoy the opportunity of seeing first-hand the formation of future priests for the New Evangelization.
Facilities: Participants enjoy their own lounge, classroom, chapel and residence wing of the College. The class presentations take place in the Institute’s classroom and there are several on-site visits to locations of religious and historical significance, as well as some special excursions (e.g. to Assisi, etc.). Participants take meals with the seminarians and faculty, and have use of the College’s library, computer lab, weight room / tennis-racquetball courts / sports field, sundries-shop, snack bar, and money-exchange service.

Participants: The Institute is for English-speaking Roman Catholic priests. The Institute can accommodate 36 priests for each session.
